SAN ANTONIO – When it comes to boxing, it’s hard to change what has been the norm over the decades, especially when it comes to local fights all over the country.

DAZN and Matchroom Boxing have done their part to change what viewers see on TV and online.

When it comes to fighting in San Antonio, Davies Entertainment is leading the way to do the same. Except here, fans can be present to experience the difference.

“It’s a modern day ‘Fight Club’,” said Cameron Davies, CEO of Davies Entertainment. “When you get here, you will see the hands flying. There is nowhere for the fighters to run. It’s full of excitement, but it’s not just a boxing event, it’s fight meets culture.

“It’s a Vegas-style experience here in the best city in the world, San Antonio,” Davies said. added.

Davies Entertainment experimented with something called “Brawl Off Broadway” which is a series of fights featuring boxers from all over Texas. Every event they’ve held at their new Davies Event Center, located at 9503 Middlex, has only gotten bigger and better according to fans. Fight Night features professional lighting and sound systems, suites, VIP tables and artists who record live.

“It’s a dream come true. We built a 73,000 square foot entertainment facility in the midst of the pandemic. We have done everything to provide an opportunity for amateur and professional fighters. We have the biggest amateur program in San Antonio. The gyms are great, but when you walk into the Event Center, it’s night and day when you’re fighting.

Saturday’s first event of 2022 looks to be even better after selling 1,000 tickets days before the fight, which is unheard of as far as local boxing events go.

“My wife and Mandy Ramirez come in and design the center of the event, my team does all the production, we write the whole event, and we do the research on how best to sell tickets,” Davies explained. . “When you do everything yourself, it’s all the more important to you, but it affects you because this is our event center.”

Davies plans to hold six events in San Antonio this year, but tickets are selling out fast. You can check Davies Entertainment on their website for updates on future events.
