A daycare center in Western Australia is making COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for all current and future staff.

Kidz Galore has given its 120 employees until the end of next month to get vaccinated, West Australian reports.

And he won’t hire staff in the future unless he’s fully immunized.

The daycare is based in West Perth.

Its manager, Sue Turner, said the staff response had been “phenomenal.”

“Some of our employees would just sit around and procrastinate; they didn’t have the urgency to get vaccinated – probably because of our situation here in WA, ”Turner said.

“But we talked about it and made sure they felt supported to get the jab.

“There is now a real buzz about it.

“It was a phenomenal reaction.

Despite WA’s current status of being relatively free and open, Turner said she knew the Delta variant of COVID “is going to get here eventually.”

“So we want to do our part to protect the community,” she said.

“Until we are all vaccinated, nothing will be normal.

“We are not front line workers, but every time there is a shutdown we have to work.

“So it’s all the more important.”

The daycare held its own on-site clinic last week and will be holding another in three weeks to ensure all staff receive their second dose.

The daycare’s decision comes as more and more businesses, large and small, make vaccination mandatory for frontline staff.

Telstra, Qantas and food maker SPC are just three of the big companies that require staff to be vaccinated.

Crown Resorts, Virgin Australia and state police forces are also considering compulsory vaccination.

Free jabs at the Royal Show

Meanwhile, this year’s Royal Show will also offer an on-site COVID vaccination clinic, without a reservation.

The family favorite was canceled last year due to COVID but Sideshow Alley is dusted off for 2021.

Concerns over COVID mean crowds will be capped at 60,000 per day.

“Please take this opportunity. Get vaccinated at the Royal Show, ”Washington Premier Mark McGowan said Monday.

The advocacy comes as jab rates in the state dropping out, with daily immunization bookings falling 20% in the past month.
